- A refugee camp or any Humanitarian Situation can be considered as a "town" that generates waste so we imagine to compare what is used in a regular FabLab and match it with what is rejected from this "town". The goal behind it is to transform these waste into material that can be used in the FabKit. This is our Fab13 brainstorming.
Regular FabLab: -PLA, ABS filament -Plywood -Wood -Metal sheeting -Acrylic -Leather -Fabric -Vinyl -Cardboard, paper -Arduino -Batteries -ProtoBoard -Cable -Soldering iron -Sensors, transistors, LEDs, etc. -nails, etc.
Refugee camp waste:
- Palette:
wood
Plastic bottles:

You can also melt it and use it as glue
Plastic bags:
- Make a new material by melting and pressing - using iron for example
Use it as pipe connectors - replacement of Teflon
Tin cans:

PVC pipes
Organic Waste
Cardboard and paper
Glass: Melt it in the microwave and create something new.
Electronic waste - Recycle the working parts to create new electronic devices.
- Using the material that exists to print, an example: sand, soil, etc.
